How this service works
Ottawa Garage Door Help is an independent referral service. We do not perform repairs ourselves. When you call, a short automated menu asks what's wrong, then connects your call directly to an independent local garage door company. Prices, scheduling, warranties and workmanship are between you and that company. Our service is free for callers.
What happens when you call
- A short recorded greeting explains that we're a free referral service.
- An automated menu asks you to press one key for what's wrong: spring, opener, off track, new door, or something else.
- We tell you the name of the independent local garage door company we're connecting you to, and your call goes straight through.
- You talk to that company directly to get a quote and book the work.
If the first company can't pick up, we automatically try a second one. If neither can, we text you their names and numbers so you can call them yourself. Between 10pm and 7am, calls go to companies that list 24-hour service.
What we don't do
- We don't perform repairs, send technicians, or set prices.
- We don't quote prices or arrival times over the phone.
- We don't guarantee the work of the companies we refer you to. Always ask the company about pricing, insurance and warranties before work starts.
How we choose companies
We refer callers to established Ottawa garage door companies with strong public reviews, and rotate between them. We note which companies offer after-hours service so urgent calls go to someone who can respond. If you have a bad experience with a company we referred you to, please tell us — we use that feedback.
Is it really free?
Yes, for callers. We may in future be paid by garage door companies for referrals. That never changes what you pay the company, and we'll keep this page updated with how referrals work.
